If you are soap fan Chris needs no introduction, he has starred in Emmerdale for many years as serial philanderer and schemer, Eric Pollard. Chris has attended our Mock Mayor making for a few years now, originally invited as an extra for Ian Lenagan (see the resemblance)? He has immersed himself into this role on more than one occasion during the mayoral ducking in the River Glyme. Each year Chris has made a speech and was voted Deputy Mayor in 2002. On his return he triumphed and was made Mock Mayor a role I’m sure he is proud to have on his credits.

Trevor Stokes 2002-2003
Loud, stocky, gruff & very rarely fowl mouthed! A person you could never fail to notice. Trevor was a Leading Fireman and is a great Panto Performer. He has had a long career as an amateur footballer allegedly causing nine players legs to break during his career, which were really not his fault!! Now assisting with the running of The Crown and the Marlborough Arms.

Smudge had held 2 of the 4 Offices of State within Old Woodstock - Mace Bearer and Deputy Mayor - and richly deserved the ultimate accolade of popular election as Mock Mayor following his eloquent and wide-ranging Election Address. Smudge upheld the Mock Mayor tradition in his own inimitable style at the Woodstock Carnival 1995.

Carole Simpson 1989 - 1990
Carole Simpson had by now escaped to the ‘outside world’ of Bicester but did not forget the traditions of Old Woodstock. On the revived Corporation, she justly became the 149th mayor if records are to be believed and carried out her duties with honour.

Mrs Dora Belcher 1984 - 1985
On revival, the Corporation called for the dynamic, youthful leadership of Mrs Dora Belcher, 78 years young in her time of office, who carried out her duties (both of them) to perfection.
